HTC desire 2.3 update back on.....

Sorry for conflicting information Ben came early, his source was wrong, all along HTC doubted that they 'would' release 2.3 for the original desire, they said:
"Contrary to what we said earlier we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire."

Earlier doubts were around the amount of Ram present on the desire which is a completely reasonable 576mb which is more than the IPhone 4 and google's version the Nexus One its also more than the HTC wildfire s which also has a lower clock speed in its CPU, and that is happy to run gingerbread, reading between the lines on an anonymous Android forum a HTC employee stated that some of their own apps ate up ram where they shouldn't. So this is great news as it improves all around performance by up to 30%, it also adds NFC support and new HTC features such as watch a movie service by where you can stream or download. I also believe that the update brings the newest version of HTC sense to the table too with lockscreen quick launch and revised apps drawer. For official update contents watch the below video.

No, nathan is right it is coming back, but they are going to cut some apps from the os so it will work sufficiently.

HA only just got proper notifications, I would at least like you to point out what you know about android in depth, for example, Age compared to Ios,features adapted in Ios 5 from almost every other OS and how many app that you own that fully utilise a gyroscope as most still just use the accelerometer. And also they are cutting carrier app s where applicable and thing such as the htc likes feature that doesn't influence overall features of the device.
